Both projections have the Yanks finishing with a worse record than last season. Do you honestly believe that's gonna happen? If so, you're nuts. The Yankees were a disaster last season with all the injuries and that triple A team they fielded. The only question remark that remains now is the bullpen. So with that said, they will easily win 90+ games and another AL East pennant. Bank on it.




Not so much sarcasm as I am dumbfounded. You'd think with all the off season moves the Yankees made, they would be expected to finish 1-2, not 4th. The Rays did nothing to improve their offense and that will continue to be their Achilles heel. The O's will improve on last season, they have a young team full of studs with a good manager.




Agree with you on this, last season we had 11 teams with 90+ wins. Now only one? Doubtful.

The Yankees were 85-77, but they were outscored by 21 runs. Their pythag W-L was 79-83. They were a little lucky to finish above .500.

I think they'll do better than 82-83 wins, but to say they're even paper WS champs is kind of a stretch right now. Not sure you can say they're even the best team in the division (then again, who is? I don't think there's any teams that stand out in the AL East).

A's, Rangers and M's is the toughest call IMO. AL East is very competitive as well, just see NY having bought themselves another division title is all. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
