Obviously. Why do you think he was benched?

With those two beasts blocking imagine a Brady quinn or Jimmy Clausen back there. That would have been a sight to see.

That McGlinchey pick has to be the dumbest one of the first round. Regardless of your thoughts of the value of some other picks (ahem, Browns), he makes no sense on the 49ers. They already have two stud OTs and are in win-now mode. Why they didn't go with Edmonds or Alexander, I have no idea. Even Derwin James would've made more sense.

Kizer would have been ideal given the scheme and his ability to throw, but he left earlier than he should have.

I don't know man. The Saints giving next years first rounder to move up nine spots to take Marcus Davenport was a head scratcher.

Kizer was so good then the wheels fell off at ND. Is the same QB coach there for all these guys because that position has been in turmoil since Kellys been there. Every year you guys are waiting for the new guy whos better than the last guy.

Staley will be 34 by the time next season starts. Might be part of the reasoning, plus they must be extremely high on him given what they have on the roster, currently.

ND is on their 6th QB coach since Kelly has been there. In some instances the OC was also the QB coach. Tommy Rees is currently the QB coach.

I don't know about you but I get the feeling Helton at USC is kinda scared to bring on big time assistants who mightbe a threat to his job. Except for the DC Pendergast it seems like he hires the new up and comers type. He gives the "they are really smart football minds and need a shot" line. Him being a long time assistant and givin a shot. But USC should be able to get guys who have already proven they are good and might want to showcase it at a big time school for a couple years. I can't stand Saban but he's got no issue hiring a guy whos good and might leave in a few years.

They must know something about this guy that the normal folks don't. That's the ultimate benefit of the doubt, for sure. You're right about that one being a huge head scratcher.

For a guy that's projected to play RT, that was a hell of a reach in the top 10 to be honest.

Both Edmunds brothers from VT go in the 1st Rd... Not top 10, but still impressive for VT.

Although I'm not exactly happy about the Steelers pick (yuuuge reach), it still fits a need and I'm hopeful Terrell can contribute this season.

There were points during the season he was projected to be a top 10 pick. He was a pretty safe bet to be picked in the top 20, maybe a reach based on projections, but he's going to be a stud.
