Alabama broke a tie with Florida State and Miami yesterday when it dispatched its 73 unranked team in a row without a loss. The last time Alabama lost to an unranked opponent was in 2007 when it lost to unranked Auburn. Alabama's record 73rd win over an unranked opponent is an NCAA record.

Alabama also broke Mercers 60 game streak of not being shutout dating back to 1941. Mercer shutdown its program from 1942 until 2012, and since 1941 had not been shutout in 60 straight games. Thats a 76 year old streak shattered yesterday.

Saturday was the first time we played the second half with 10 minute quarters.

In 2013 we played the 4th quarter with a moving clock. Saturday was the first time
the quarters were shortened.
