Playoff Pickem DISCUSSION Thread

Not the actual thread, I was just hoping to hash out the rules.

I highly doubt I will be running it but would really like to play.

Quick thoughts:

Pick every game?

Pick every game against the spread?

Both of those are tricky because it would mean daily picks almost as spreads will not be available too many days in advance.

Lastly, a bracket, this could be a tie breaker or even a completely different competition. Pick teams to win series just like March madness with extra points going to picking the right number of games in each series.

Thoughts?

1 point for 1st round games.

2 points for 2nd round games

4 points for ECF/WCF games.

8 for championship games.

Kind of like a March Madness point system.

I think we will have to have some delay when the later rounds come, we may not know how many more games there are per series.

Also...march madness bracket? separate, included or no interest?

I don't understand that last question, but to make it more simple.

1 point for playoff games.

2 points for championship games.

Too many points to add up.

yea really I do not have a lot of say but am curious as to how this will play out.

Let's see who runs it and how they want to run it.

BK mentioned Lakersrule in another thread. Arizona_Sting ran the regular season thread. I am not sure who has interest in running it nor do I care who or how it is ran. I want to play

Maybe keep this going for a couple days and see what the consensus for rules etc but it would be hard to find a more qualified game master (wow super nerdy but no clue what else to call the title right now hahaha).

I love this idea, it sounds like this is what was done last year...BK? If we were so ambitious we could do both. The bracket is kind of done once and the pickem is ongoing.
