Chip definitely has some Belichick in him. Both of them aren't afraid to ruffle some feathers if they think what they're doing will result in contending for championships.

1. Devin McCourty Safety
2. Byron Maxwell CB
3. Jason Worilds OLB
4. Orlando Franklin G/T
5. Jeremy Maclin WR

This would work for me.

As much as I'd love McCourty and Orlando Franklin -- I think we're pushing the limit, even with the amount of cap space we have. I think Maxwell and Worilds are the must have guys, then we still have a bunch of other needs to fill in FA. Then we also have players like Cox and Kendricks who SHOULD be extended, and for the love of god, not traded. If we do sign McCourty, Maxwell and Worilds -- I think Kendricks days might be numbered, especially since Cox seems to be the safe bet to get a big contract extension.

I'll hope for players like Maxwell and Worilds. Re-sign our own Maclin. Then some 2nd tier guys like Gilchrist and Wis. Throw in Ingram, a solid starter CB like Alan Ball, and a backup QB. Then we should still have some money left to extend our own when the time comes.

Actually I think Devin McCourty would be the bigger prize if we could land him.....We could land him, Davon House and Kareem Jackson and that would not be breaking the bank.

Yeah I'm a fan of Davon House as well. Reading he could command around 7mill a year.

Tramon Williams the Packers Starter ahead of House turned down a 2 year 8 million dollar contract. So if the Packers value their Star CB at 4 million per, what does that say House is worth? I like House, a lot, but 7 mill per year???

That's just what I've been reading. We have to take in consideration that Davon House is only 25 years old, entering his prime and has the ideal physical attributes and athleticism NFL teams covet. While he doesn't have a ton of experience, CBs are a very high priority for all NFL teams. There's a lot of cap space to go around, players do get overpaid. Not saying I strongly believe he will command that much, but it also wouldn't shock me if he got around 6-7mill a yr.

I really need to start checking in more than once a year, what the heck happened to KFfl?

1 S McCourty
2 Cb maxwell
3 Cb house
4 og/c wisniewski
5 Rb Ingram

I don't think we'll get all top 3 guys at S/CB/OLB: McCourty/Maxwell/Worilds -- especially since we'll still need Maclin, a starting RB, starting OG (though Babre/Tobin could be solid), 2nd CB, and a backup QB

Other Top 3 scenario:
Devin McCourty S
Byron Maxwell CB
Brooks Reed OLB

or

Byron Maxwell CB
Jason Worilds OLB
Marcus Gilchrist/Rahim Moore S

Nah, I'm not that high on worilids , nor am I sold on all the smoke that's been around him this and last off season. I think we'll look for another barwin type, so the olbs are more interchangeable. Brooks Reed maybe? The only guy in free agency I'd pay big bucks for is Houston, but he got tagged.

Searcy the safety from Buffalo is a good backup plan if we don't sign McCourt

I think Kendricks is going to be used as trade bait and we bring back demeco at a reduced salary and draft a bigger ilb, like Anthony from Clemson.

I just figured even a Brooks Reed would be in your top 5. OLB is a big need for this team. I like Marcus Smith as a prospect and I think he'll develop into a good player, but we still need someone that can step in and play at a high level this year, since both Cole and Graham are goners. My two favorite choices for OLB is Worilds and Reed. Must get one of them.

Definitely is a big need for the team. But the acquisition of Alonso really adds some talent to the linebackers, especially in coverages, while also creating a hole at Rb. For that reason I put Ingram ahead of Reed. But I do think Brooks Reed is the exact type of player well sign for OL and won't demand a fortune.

We'd go from having the worst pair of Safeties in the league for the past few years, to having one of the best tandems. Would be fun to watch those two back there.

Chip and Billy love those interchangeable players, and two former corners at safety would give us just that. 27yr old all pro at a position of major need? Oh hell yes
