Didn't he want to finish his career in Philly? What kind of no-trade clause does he have?

This is just like the Cliff Lee/Cole Hamels thing, and Ruben will deny that he wants to trade Jimmy Rollins as well - but he's a pathological liar

He's been on the Phillies over 10 years. I think that means he can veto any trade that they make.

I'm willing to part with my 2000 Honda Odyssey if someone wants to pay about 2.5 million for it. It's a really good ride that just needs new brakes and a new engine. Come on guys. This is the best deal you're going to get for this type of car at this point. Someone please take this car.

I've already gotten 20 calls in the last five minutes over the car. I would hurry up and pick up that phone before it's gone...

No, no, no/ Wait until the potential buyer in Detroit makes their purchase, THEN list it for sale.

2000???? I couldn't consider that my daily driver for a couple more years. I need something with a little more experience.

Actually, a guy from Detroit just called offering 1.5 million for the car. I laughed and told him to shove it where the sun don't shine. Surely, I will get a more lucrative offer within the next couple of days.

I'd like to see Amaro on Pawn Stars. He'd be like "Rick, I don't care if your so-called "shortstop expert" says he's only worth 1.5 million, I paid 13 million and that's what I'm going to need to get out of him".
His only chance would be to show up at midnight and try to catch Chumlee after he just had a few bong hits.

The article has no specifics. Galvis can handle the ss job. But he needs to improve his average. That could happen with more playing time, maybe. Without a suitable replacement for rollins, it's a negative for the Phillies. If we could get a good pitcher for rollins and one prospect, that might be a good deal, if and only if, we also got someone from the minors or elsewhere who can play short and hit if galvis doesn't work out. A lot of Ifs in there. Both Jrol and Galvis are switch hitters. At this point I doubt if Rollins will go anywhere.

The Amaro money train has run out of steam. He has been cut off! so there must be somebody that he is trying to buy. He has offered Paps,Lee and Hamels with no takers. Now it is Rollins. Maybe he can land a few prospects for Rollins, this may be Amaros best opportunity to trade a Phillie player. However Rollins would have to agree in order to be moved.

Amaro may have had a few delusions about trading the old crew and likely sent out some feelers, but the averages on the players slumped enough partially because of injury, age, or down year, that no realistic offers ever emerged or could have emerged. That's fine with me. With Revere, Brown, and Asche in there, Ruf, Hernandez, and Nieves on the bench, Franco not far away, the team back from injuries, and a better manager, they won't have less than a .500 year. If the pitching shows up, I'm looking for no less than 85 wins. Who knows, maybe Mayberry has a .260 comeback year (slight dream); how bad can the guy get. May sound insane to some folks, but that's how I see it.

Mayberry is defensive insurance for center field. I would like to see the young guys step up and make this team a contender. But let's face reality,we have 3 number five pitchers after Lee and Hamels. So unjless we can score 6 runs a game, we will have another losing record.
