Boston is coming to town! Can we start hitting?

Just in. Neris recalled, Crawford sent down, Thomson sold to Brewers.
Add Crawford to the stiff list as well. The phillies were scoring rubs when Hoskns batted cleanup. Put him there againThe team has to perform. Why are they striking out. Why are they hitting .235? Who knows. They're stinking it up. A few not ready for prime time I guess. Actually, the .235 BA includes 600 BAs from slackers Altherr, Knapp, Valentin, pitchers, etc.
It's not Kapler's fault, or maybe his lineups are making it easy for opposing pitchers to shut the Phillies down. As I said above, four regulars are hitting .184 to .225 this month, including Cabrera in his short time with the Phils. If they don't wake up, we'll be overtaken by the Nats. All we can do it watch.
Did I say rubs? Meant runs!Add Crawford to the stiff list as well. The phillies were scoring rubs when Hoskns batted cleanup. Put him there again
and see what happens!.
Here is proof that Flex is an idiot. Hoskins is hitting .239 batting 2nd in 326 at bats. Hoskins is hitting .302 batting 4th.Remember when Rhys Hoskins could hit?

However only 116 at bats. Batting 4th he would target out to hit 35 home runs, 125 runs batted in, and 105 runs scored.
based on a season total of 580 at bats. We would score more and win more if he hit 4th every day!
Kapler is an idiot!I've been a Phillies fan since the 60's and I remember the 1964 team. I see similarities. Having played baseball for 15+- years and recruited in high school I figure I know a little bit about the game. That said it is my opinion that the Phillies have a systemic problem beginning with ownership. Middleton is responsible for Klentak and Klentak is responsible for Kapler. Klentak is overmatched. He and the talent evaluation team are not doing their job to a professional level. Kapler flat out doesn't have a feel for the game being robotic and a prisoner to his idea of analytics. There is a lack of leadership within the management/coaching structure which in turn produces underachieving players. I don't know if players like Alfaro, Santana, Kingery and Arieta are underachieving or overvalued but they don't belong on a contending team. Surely the two veterans in this group are happy to collect their paychecks whether or not they produce. In closing it is my opinion that Kapler is a buffoon masquerading as a manager.
