oh well……they tried. they tried to be competitive this year. they are who we all thought they were. once they hit 10 games under, with the fact this team can't mustard a 3 or 4 winning streak, this season is over.

Ryno can juggle 100 different lineups but with brown and asche (or his sub) nowhere near solid performers as was expected, and with revere under-performing last years effort, it's a lost cause, despite a good effort from the old core, who may have peaked after 1/3 of the season.

So it seems the only way they'll win even 81 games may be for Lee to bath in sacred waters at some religious shrine in France before he returns and bring cases of the stuff back to the Phillies. Personally, I still hope for some kind of rebound and hope springs eternal, blah, blah.

The old core includes Byrd. He is declining. Rollins average has been dropping too. We are stuck with this core. Plus Dom Brown is still a slacker.

Yea most of this we all (except for a few well wishers) predicted would occur before the season. You can window dress a bad sports team all you want and even though they have tried, the reality is we are an old and and bad team and players are not lining up to come to the Phillies. If they are, Amaro will send them down to receive the Phillies "training". Freakin braindead dumbass!
