This season: Series tied 1-1
Last meeting: 11-15-2014 @ CONSOL Energy Center, Pens won 3-2- in SO

Doob's take: Rangers have had our number as of late, plus the game is being played at MSG. I also don't like the way the Pens have played as of late besides Geno & Comeau. For these reasons, I'm going to pick the Rangers to win 4-3. Hope the Pens can prove me wrong.

This is mainly for Thedddd. I talked to some friends in Wilkes-Barre who are season ticket holders. They said that Archibald is often a healthy scratch, but they really like him when he is in there. They said he's fast, always hustles and seems to know what he's doing when he's out there. The problem seems to be that his style of play doesn't fit the 4th line and Wilkes-Barre's top three lines are still pretty good. They both think he'll do well when he finally gets some consistent ice time.

Well at least the last 5 minutes will be interesting now. Great job by Sutter and Malkin.

Tough ending, but good to steal a point from that game with the comeback.

Thanks for the info. So it sounds like the fact just not enough experience. I guess it is a good thing for the Penguins going into next season they will have good forward depth. Just imagine the WBS team next season with Kapanen and Sundqvist on top of the young forwards they have now.

BTW...I heard Zlobin is out for the year, that hurts his development but it helps give players like Archibald/Dea and others more time.

As for the Penguins tonight I like the comeback and nice to get a point out of that game. I just hope Maatta isn't out for a long period of time.

I don't know Doob. Rangers got a few bounces there way that really changed things.

By the way, did you see where Kevin Kline had part of his ear ripped off by Sill's stick, gets it reattached in the locker room and then scores the game winner in OT? Tough lot, those hockey players, eh?

Yeah, saw that, gotta respect those hockey players. I don't think I could play thru such injuries but they seem to do it on a routine.

Tough break for Zlobin.

My friends were telling me that for a while thy had Archibald on a line with Dea and Megna. They worked well together and the line really generated some offense.

Doobster is high on Dea so I kept a close eye on him and he is going to be good. He's quick, he was always hustling, but I can see why they want to keep him in Wilkes-Barre a little longer. The Baby Pens and Hershey are going to be slugging it out for the top spot all season long and I'm going to try to get up there for a few more games.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Series notes
All-time: Pens lead series 42-38-0 with 18 ties
Last season: Pens won series 2-0-0
Last meeting: 1-11-2014 @ Scotiabank Saddledome, Pens won 2-1

Doob's take: Doobster isn't pleased with the way the Pens have been playing as of late and we're going to go up against a nitty gritty team that's desperate for a win. Just don't like our odds in this one. Doob picks the Flames to win 3-2, hope the Pens prove me wrong.
