Garage League
April 1st VS Flyers
April 4th @ Blue Jackets
April 5th @ Flyers
April 4th @ Blue Jackets
April 5th @ Flyers
Could have seen tonight coming a mile away.
The game itself was better though. It seemed under Bylsma the Pens would melt down every time they played Philadelphia.
I actually thought that the Pens were going to roll Philly last night. But that was prior to Malkin being scratched right before game time. As we saw before last weekend, when Malkin is out of the lineup, their ability to even threaten offense on a consistent basis pretty much dries up like a puddle in the desert.
It wasn't all bad from last night, IMO. I thought Ian Cole played a very good game last night. That is important going forward provided one of Ehrhoff and/or Letang comes back. Cole is a very, very big upgrade over Bortuzzo. Sid and Hornqvist also looked very good, too.
Forgot to do the thread this week
Sorry guys, been getting ready for a trip to Costa Rica, I won't be here for the next 2 weeks. Please accept my apologies, I feel really bad about this.
Thank you muchHave a great trip!
But seriously, this team's inability to score will be its downfall in the first round of the playoffs.
I will be shocked if this team makes it out of the first round...
The way they're playing, I'll be shocked if hey make the playoffs at all.I will be shocked if this team makes it out of the first round...
Play like crap in CLB get blown out, play well in Philly get blown out.
Someone on the team needs to start scoring. It would be awesome if Sid or Malkin could put up 2 or 3 in a game, that being said at least Sid, Malkin, Sutter, and Hornqvist are producing something right now. Kunitz and Perron need to start scoring significantly, and Spaling, Bennett, Downie, and Comeau need to chip in every once in a while.
