I think Allen is right . If Howell were a rookie he would be the talk of the NFL so far . He is learning and growing. Can’t ask for more
No he wouldn't be the talk of the NFL if he was a rookie. While I'm sure that he would be in the conversation, C.J Stroud would be and is the talk of the NFL rookie QB class.

While I agree Stroud is killing it right now with little around him, I do think the national narrative on Howell would be much different had he been some top 15 pick.

C.J. doesn’t have McLaurin, Dotson, Samuel but Howell has more passing yards and TDs than C.J.

I say that to take nothing away from what C.J. is doing. C.J. looks like he has the potential to be special.

However, Howell doesn’t get the national media love he would get if he didnt have that 5th round label on him imo.

Stroud's ability to take care of the football sets him apart.

Would love to luck out and draft a Micha Jr type of player… course gotta have a DC who knows how to be creative and tailor a scheme that maximizes a players strength. I swear, we’ve seen forcing players to play in schemes/positions they don’t match waaaay too much.
As far as the DEs go.....yeah, gonna have to go find at least one vet in FA that can get us 8 or 9 sacks next year. Still keeping an eye on Toohill.
well, we saw what sweat just signed for with Chi and he is a career 8-9 sack/year guy. We can’t afford a vet of that caliber or we would have kept him. No, we have to draft our next Edge stud.

Yeah, but he's young and ascending......supposedly. what i meant was a real vet that can just be good. Not a Burns type. Maybe a step or two below but does apply pressure.

It wouldn't shock me if they used their iwn 2nd on a DE.

How you guys and gals feeling? You trying to get in or no?
Well the team is going to try to get in as they should . But for us the higher draft picks are needed if RR isnt doing the picking

We have 100 mil I. Space without making a single cut . What we have is a choice issue not a money issue

Sure. But we can’t spend 75m on the Dline. We have other issues we have to address.

On the worst side of it you are paying 30 mil for the edge rusher with 70 mil to play with . Now I would choose differently and drafting one would be better and you could send Payne or Allen packing

I hope this FO doesn’t go hog wild in FA but but makes smart calculated decisions

We’re in agreement. However, if we’re gonna pick one up in free agency, why didn’t we just keep sweat?

Pretty good game. The refs :L, Simple jacks defense :L, too many wr drops :L
What is with all the drops? Howell threw a dime to Dyami and he dropped it for a TD.

I wish I knew. It seems we drop a lot of deep passes and some of it looks like effort. Maybe our WRs are not used to seeing a spiral and it is an optical illusion.
