Vance's 2 favorite players -- Cam Newton and Tim Tebow.

He completed less than half his passes. Less than half. In what world is that great? Lol. Yeah, he did better than he has previously, and again, he did a great job at managing the game and avoiding turnovers. He also did a great job of taking what Pittaburgh gave him, but saying he had a great game is insanity. Lots of yardage doesn't mean it's a great game

If Joe Flacco had those exact stats you'd all speaking different tunes.

Winning a game and whipping a team around like they hadn't been all season equals a great game. If Brady threw that many deep balls I guarantee you he wouldn't complete any more than Tebow. Brady throws over half his passes under 7 yards. Tebow doesn't. Natually he is going to have a lower completion percentage. If you can't be unbiased towards Tebow, why bother talking about him at all? Again everyone is talking about his great game. You are in fact the only person I have heard not say he had a great game.

If he had attempted 40 passes, or even 30 and completed less than half, then it would suck. But with only 21 passes, half isn't so bad, especially when the half completed goes for 31 yards a pop.

It really is not that difficult to grasp.

No I wouldn't If Flacco threw the same types of passes Tebow did I wouldn't. However all these other QB's throw over 50% of there passes under 7 yards. That is why they have such high completion %'s.

Brady probably doesn't throw more than 2 balls over 20 yards a game.

Tebow didn't have a "great" game. He had a solid game and did a good job managing. He deserves credit.

How's that. His numbers aren't great. He put up yards. People on here have said for years yards are a poor indicator of success. He hit a few long passes and managed the game. He did NOT have a great game. He had a good game and did the right things

He had a great game against that D. He hit the big plays, didn't make any mistakes, some of the incompletions were throw aways and drops, he had a great game. Everyone sees it, whether you can get past your hate and admit it is irrelevant. We all know it was a great game.

You can call it anything you like. I call it a man getting too much credit. He played well. He took advantage of a poorly designed defensive gameplay. He was smart. He was effective. He was definitely the better of the two QBs. He wasnt great. Like I said, Drew Brees was great.

His 125.6 NFL quarterback rating, and his record setting playoff game QBR of 97.3 beg to differ that he wasn't great.

Meh, it was a good day. Drew Brees went 33 for 44 for 466 yards and 3 TDs. THAT's a great day. Tebow was good, and extremely effective. I wouldn't use the word great.
