All focus has switched to the Tom Brady appeal. If that goes south, I am curious to hear the excuses. An entire era build on lies and deceit. No one will ever know how far the cheating has gone. Which is why this era of the Patriots will always be questioned. Pat's fans will play it off, but the other 95%?? I'm not so sure.

The Lance Armstrong method of winning seems to be the most probable angle pats fans will play.

I'm glad that they did this. In my opinion, they did deflate the balls on purpose and both Brady and Bellicheck were aware, but I think that not disputing the penalty is the classy thing to do. Plus, they'd look stupid if they had lost the appeal and had to accept it involuntarily.

I am very high skeptical about this whole behind closed doors meeting Kraft and Goodell had... He went in ready for a fight and came out "de-flated" and gave up. There has to be something that will be coming the Patriots way (whether it be Brady's suspension, picks in later years, something) because it's pretty sad to think that Kraft just caved under pressure. I would think he wouldn't really care about the other owners.. But we will have to wait and see what truly happened.

I think he realized that the fight for the Patriots organization was going to be very painful in terms of PR and disruption to the organization and the likelihood of success was never very good.

That said I would be extremely disappointed if the suspensions for Brady stand.
