Some tough choices.
Wilfork, Welker, Mankins, Parcells, Vrabel.

Who would you put in?
I am undecided at this point, One of those 5 over the rest mentioned in the article.

Wilfork started and finished with Patriots not resigning him. He e had been injured and limped through Houston for awhile. One of the best to play!
Welker either started nor finished with NE.
Mankins and Vrabel should also be put in.
Who the hell is Parcells?

1) Wilfork
2) Vrabel
3) Mankins

Perhaps Welker somewhere down the road but he contributed to two SB losses and no wins.

Fuck Bill Parcells. He should never get in.

Vrabel neither started nor finished in New England either.

Wilfork
Mankins (Traded out, didn't leave on his own)

Vrabel was an outstanding player but he is a pain in the ass now.
Welker failed when it counted the most

I wouldn't even consider Parcells after the shit he pulled in '97.

And played for 5 teams?

I think so? San Diego, Miami, NE, Denver, Rams?

2007 Patriots loss(receiver)
2011 Patriots loss(receiver)(had game winning 1st down slip through his fingers)
2014 Broncos loss(receiver)(43 - 8. Ouch!)
2019 49ers loss(offensive coach)

Don't get me wrong. The guy was a joy to watch when the game wasn't on the line and I think he very likely had a lot to do with the development of JE11. Just don't know if he belongs with the all time great Patriots.

He was part of arguably 2 of the all time best offenses. Like you saw, the both underachieved.
His last 2 years with Patriots, he was a pig-headed pain in the ass.
We were still negotiating with him when he ran to Peyton and the Broncos.
I argued here on the Hoop that Edelman was his replacement and had better hands. I was laughed at.
Welker had his time with NE and bounced around. Edelman was a true Patriot to the end of his career, even staying when Brady left.

Welker has been to 3 Super Bowle and lost all three.
He got suspended for Amphetamines.

...and he totally fucked over Tom Brady by turning the wrong direction. Had he run the correct route there would be another trophy in Foxboro instead of a debate whether it was Tom or Wes who shouldered the blame.

This is the play I referenced above. Moments before that he turned toward the closest defender instead of away (as the "option" route dictated). If he had correctly turned away from the defender the ball would have met him in stride.

Agreed with all of this except I still contend Danny Amendola was brought in to replace Wes Welker.

On March 13, 2013, just hours after New England Patriots slot receiver Wes Welker signed with the Denver Broncos, the Patriots announced the signing of Amendola. Amendola received a five-year contract for $28.5 million, with $10 million of that money guaranteed

Amendola was a planned signing before Welker walked
