Y'all do need to stay healthy though. I doubt you have a lot of options in backups particularly on the defensive side.

Dude, our defense sucks against the pass. If anyone besides Thompson gets hurt back there it’s an upgrade. All of our depth on the d like can stuff the run, just out corners can’t do shit but PI, which is why I was semi confident is the Apple Cup. I don’t know what it is with Minshew but just the dude gives me confidence he will keep us within striking distance of any team not named Alabama. We might lose but he won’t let a blow out happen.

State's last conf win at all was against Oregon in '16 in the civil war so it hasn't been two full years without a conf win. That season they won 3 conf games, all at home.

The last road conf win was two years prior from that ('14) and yes, it was at Colorado when they were simply putrid. They had 3 road game wins the prior year in '13.

So with this win it may be that the darkest days of beaver football since the 90's may be getting closer to behind you.

It was a great day for you and your boys. Congrats again.

Now if Oregon State would just change their uniforms, they might be a team to watch out for.

Why wouldn't it?

Do you view these as some sort of accurate predictor of future events? I sure don't. Why wouldn't the vegas slant on upcoming events still matter?

Because us being double digit favorites hasn’t worked out so well for us.....my entire goal is for us to be 10-1 going into the Apple Cup just so Larry Scott finally has to answer the question on the Minshew hit. He has poo pooed the Tago hit but has yet to speak on the Minshew hit when he has been pressed on it.

That isn't the point of posting or following the odds. If you disagree with a line then bet on it.

You've always been critical of making picks ATS so the lines are not normally something you have interest in, whether your team is covering the odds or not.

If nothing else, it's interesting to see how the matrixes used to seed the initial lines move after wins/losses. I love the math/nerd side of betting.

Take the Bruins big. Herbert and Mitchell are in concussion protocol

That was my first thought, but things in college football are seldom that easy. Ducks on back to back losses, at home. UCLA with only two wins, one on the road against a rival and the other barely got it done at home. Their tackling and defense has looked simply horrible.

Even without Herbert, I'm not sure UCLA can cover.

Right now I'd lean toward the favorite to cover those lines in all but the UW game. Lines won't stay there though.
Duck line has moved to -9.5, USC is a 14pt fav over the beavs, UW has dropped to about 8.5.

USC's Clay Helton takes offensive play-calling duties from Tee Martin
USC's Helton strips Martin of play-calling duties

O-Line coach (Callaway) gone too...
Calloway had to go. Curious if they put Nielon in at Center now. Still think Tee has to go looks like they worked it to give him more time. However its that much more on Heltons shoulders now. His seat just got hotter imo

So the cougs got fined for their fans rushing the field after beating Oregon, but the ducks were not fined after their fans rushed the field after beating UW.

This conf is so messed up.

Well there was some fire Larry Scott signs at gameday, at the game and overall it was just a shitty day for the conference executives with his allowing himself to give sound bites to reporters who were calling he and them out.

We've all been calling for Calloways head. That needed to happen. Drevno has been given o-line coaching duties. He was the o-line coach in 2014. If memory serves, the o-line was solid. Which would be an improvement.

I'm glad they didn't fire Tee. I'm not sure if his play calling issues were the result of a bad o-line and true freshman quarterback...or if he just still has a lot to learn.

Probably a little of both.

Also possible that they just didn't want to fire 2 coaches in the middle of the season. So we'll see.
