I've been saying that all year. Not impressed with him since the new contract.

His peripheral numbers are actually better than last year, the implementation of the shift and bad luck has led to a .230ish BABIP this year as opposed to a .290ish last year

Hope this team enjoyed their record vs the Astros last year because they likely don't have a winning record vs that team for awhile. I wondered how their SP would do but they have been pretty darn good and I can almost guarantee they add another front line starter mid season.

I want him to stay here. As far as where I think he'd end up if not re-upping, the dodgers already have Kershaw and maeda on the books as frontline type starters so they don't make much sense, the Yankees would probably be the biggest threat. I think they have been working in clearing up their payroll to make a run at next years free agent class. You'd assume Darvish would be one of their top priorities.

Yea unless we dominate the Astros again which I concede is unlikely at this point, we will be relegated to wild card or nothing. Nobody else in baseball can beat the Astros it seems. Except for the Indians
