Season One should be up on there. If not, as long as you have HBO, you can access the whole season through HBO Go and/or OnDemand.

I watched the first two seasons because Ms. 46's sister's bf is a huge fantasy geek. I liked it and we said we would watch the rest but didn't. Maybe when we are done with the Wire, we can start it up.

Question: When HBO shows it, does it put it up on on-demand right away?

HBO Go, yes... Not sure about OnDemand. I think that varies by carrier. There has been only one season so far as well.

If you liked the show, you won't be disappointed. The story is even more incredible on the page - as they have more room to delve into specific details.

The one downside is that it is still a work in progress. The 5th book, out of 7, was released last summer...after almost six years. If he takes that long to write the sixth book, I might spontaneously combust.

I have a question, since books 4 and 5 are suppose to be parallel to each other can I read book 5 first since it has the characters I'm more interested in.

just gonna be fuckin incredible.

books are spectacular. many "oh fuck!" moments. then you read it over because you can't believe it, and you say "fuckin fuck!"

just awesome. hbo really did this book justice. hoping they keep it up.

Now I really need to start reading. I need to start chilling a little bit on the weekends. This will be my new thing between writing music.

They aren't completely parallel - so I would recommend reading them in order.

This is correct. A Dance with Dragons (book 5) is partially in parallel with A Feast for Crows (book 4), but the parallelness stops about 2/3 of the way through, so you should really read book 4 first.

I started watching the first few episodes with my dad around Christmas time, but I don't have cable at my own place. So I picked up the books instead and good god, they are a fantastic read. I'm about halfway through book 3 now and all I'll say is Joffrey is a little piece of shit.

The third book is my favorite. Actually, the third book is everyone I've spoken to's favorite.
