Of course we care buddy. You're a good man for rescuing those animals. :suds:

Much appreciated! They have all returned the favor in one way or another helping me get through some tough times myself.

I heard a joke that I dont remember exactly but it had to do with Women vs Dogs. You can find out who loves you more if you lock them both in the trunk of a car for 5 hours and see which one is happy to see you when you open it back up.

Just found out one of our Labs is allergic to human dander? Apparently, just like we can be allergic to them, they can be of us too. Typical human how I never thought of it like that.

Also, one of the worst parts of springtime at my house is all the dog turds that were preserved by the winter cold are all now nice and fresh again all at once. My riding mower looks like I went "muddin" with all the shit stuck in the treads. Cant store it in the garage without spraying it down every time I mow or the garage starts to smell like Artie Lange.

Rabbits are stupid. My dog chases one out of the yard almost every day and has caught 6. So I was actually kind of surprised when after cutting the grass I saw a bunch of fur. When Rocket and I went to look at it I saw something moving and told him to come inside. Amazingly he listened and when I went out to look I saw a warren of baby rabbits (and one outside of it) right smack in the middle of my yard. Genius. We carried them out to the alley to give them a chance, but things didnt look good.

Maybe call a local animal rescue league or something. At a young age they'll need lots of TLC.

yeah I agree. they can take them to a rabbit rescue

We probably should have. We didn't. My wife used to work at the vet the department of natural resources uses in cases like this. She loved that part of the job, at any time they could have any number of wild animals they were nursing back to heath.

The place would have been closed last night so we would have had to keep them ourselves over night. Not the easiest thing to do with our dog. Or we could have left them where they were and if still they were still there and alive this morning then taken them to the vet. At least in her experience at that vet in cases like this they often die no matter what you do. They didn't look good, I don't know what time the lawn was cut or what that did to them and I wonder if the bunch of fur I saw was momma.

Where I lived for 10 years before moving here we had the same problem with rabbits. I used to walk the yard looking for dens and stuff. I'd feel terrible if I chopped one up mowing the yard. Luckily they usually made their home in the neighbors bushes.
