The fact that Dale Murphy is not in the HOF, but Larry 'Chipper' Jones is remains a mystery.

The HOF selection committee has something against Brave OF's, Murphy and Andruw Jones deserve to be there. Sadly, I doubt either will get in.

Agree on Murphy for sure. He had multiple MVPs. The list of multiple MVP winners are all Hall of Famers. That should be case closed.

I always thought Murphy had almost identical stats to Eddie Murray. Similar eras, both outstanding for about 7-8 years with solid careers outside of that. Murray never won the MVP those was close many times. Your performance against your peers should be the most important standard. Murray was a first-balloter with over 85%. Murphy never got over 25%. Makes no sense other than Murray was in the 500 club. But isn't the 2 MVP club just as impressive? Both have just shy of 30 members.

Offensive Numbers skew towards Murray since he played longer but defensively on par at their respected positions. Would even say Parker was better in the field.

It’s an absolute crime Dave Parker is not in the Hall of Fame. The only thing I can think of why is because of the Pittsburgh drug trials.
