Which is the smart play, picking for one guys window is short sighted and cripples a franchise longterm

Yeah im not sure there is much of a window anyway

Fallsin the same zone as Jack but they've already been very clear that his knee is a huge concern, not just an issue
Some sources say he suffered nerve damage and could develop drop foot. I hope that isn't the case.

All in all I am well pleased with the Cowboy selections. Really hope Smith heals and makes us the player we know he can be. Don't know much about the S/CB but the same went for a couple named Charlie Watters and Cliff Harris and look what we had there.:dingdingding:

Saying he'll miss at least 1/2 the season.

Hitzges is going to go crazy about this tomorrow b/c he was harping last one about "why would you risk Romo at all in the preseason? It's not like he's a 2/3 year man needing to learn the system, or get reps."

Tony Romo MRI reveals broken bone in back, could be out 6-10 weeks
The Cowboys will once again be without their starting quarterback for an extended period of time

The season hasn't even started yet and the Dallas Cowboys have already seen their starting quarterback get injured yet again. Jason Garrett announced on Saturday that Tony Romo had an MRI taken of his back after sustaining an injury on the third play of Dallas' third preseason game on Thursday night, and the MRI revealed a broken bone in Romo's back.

According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Romo is expected to miss 6-10 weeks. Coach Jason Garrett, however, did not rule Romo out for the Cowboys' Week 1 game against the New York Giants.

Backup QB Dak Prescott will presumably take the snaps for however long Romo is out.

I'm afraid it's time for Romo to retire. His body just can't take the punishment any more.

Honestly think Dak takes over and doesn't look back. Be smart Tony and get out now.

That would be the best thing to do.

I don't know if Dak is the heir apparent for the future, but I do think it is probably time to move on from Tony as much as I hate it and as tough as it will be. He's just too brittle these days and he cant hold up to the punishment of the game anymore. Tony had a damn fine career even without a bunch of playoff wins or a SB. Hang it up Tony
