I don’t think I’ve ever seen winter winds in Toronto like I’ve seen this weekend. Coldest bitterest winds you can imagine have been blowing through here since Friday.

Plus side, the snow fell literally everywhere except here.

Baltimore only had 48 caroling deaths this year, down from 264 just 10 years ago. Education programs teaching people that the singing dressed up people coming onto your porch after dark are just attempting to spread joy, not murder you - have really helped.

I give it six episodes before it's cancelled.
I'm not opposed to them rebooting it but that looks terrible.

The network seems to know its a bomb too, they have supposedly delayed the premier a couple of times.

The main appeal of the original 'Night Court' is something that you can't really do anymore in 2023. You know that many of the double entendres are going to be viewed as not acceptable in the current landscape. Also, I want to remember Dan Fielding as a snarky sex addicted attorney, not an old creeper trying to hang on to some sort of relevance.

I dunno, I think Melissa Rauch has an opportunity to really shine here. She is that good. She was the queen of snark on BBT.

For the couple years I watched BBT I did think she was really good. And she apparently loved the original Night Court and wanted to reboot it because of that, so maybe it won't be so bad.

Cmon man, he's 75. When you were 75 did you like being called and old creeper?

And the rare occurrence of the original being perfectly cast. I don;t know if the original writers wrote every character exactly that way or if each actor just made them their own, but it's never going to work with them trying to re-write the archetypes and random actors are going to try and copy.

It would be like trying to re-cast the original Cheers. It just worked. Copying it will not.

Driving ban day 4. I've mostly lost the will to live.

Thinking about gnawing off my hand so that I can present that as a valid reason to be on the road if I get pulled over.

I went thru more cars than I could remember. The Pontiac Sunbird I had rusted away and even worse I drove a Plymouth K car until the head cracked.

Yep the years of shit cars.

The first car I ever bought was a ‘78 Nova for $1200 in 1988. It ran great but it rusted away too.

A friend of mine actually had the sport version of that. The X11.You could tell it was sporty because it had a hood scoop.
1981%20Chevrolet%20Citation-08%20amp%2009.jpg

There was nothing under it. Like the scoop was actually just welded onto the hood. No hole into the engine compartment or anything.

At that time, I was driving a 1978 Chevy Malibu wagon. I bought it from a farmer for 200 bucks. It was notable because he had been using it as a "move trailers around the farm" vehicle after his pickup frame cracked. He just transplanted the 454 from his truck into it. It was beat to hell looking, silver with one red door. We put a dual Holley Carb setup and a new posi rear end in it. I won a lot of money on run what ya brung nights at the drag strips until people got used to seeing it. I called it the wonder wagon. The only external clue was if you looked under the rear end and saw those fat tires.
