Just glad they got this no personality guy out of Starkville, he was hated. Just a dull personality, no emotion, no toughness...just a boring fuck. He belongs in Eugene.

Still doesn't mean he isn't a good OC though
It probably saves your Bulldogs some fat stacks as well.

he is still owed like 7 mil from MSU. they fired him. if Oregon had poached him and he broke the contract it would be different.

The salary he will earn from Oregon will offset what State owes him. It’s standard language.

interesting take. Penn State guys liked him
most reports I hear and read was that he didn't fit in Miss st because he wasnt southern enough.

"A former SEC coach, Moorhead had quite the buyout at Mississippi State. Per a report, he's owed $7 million from the school with up to $3 million mitigated by other work through the year 2022."

"Moorhead is owed a $7 million buyout by Miss State so his contract will likely be very Oregon budget friendly for the 1st year"

That’s typically to stick it to the school he left but he will still get in the neighborhood of 300k to 400k which adds up over multiple years. If he does less than that he risks acting in bad faith and State will refuse to pay him like Arkansas did Bielema.

I'm not saying he's a terrible hire. But all over social media, Duck fans are acting like you just hired Nick Saban and the rest of the PAC is trembling over your Rose Bowl and new OC. Hint. We're not.
Ducks should be more concerned that it's 2020 and your losing 4/5 of your starting Oline, multi-year starting QB, and a whole lot of SR talent that made you so dominate this year at positions like WR, TE, and LB.

their RIPE to get beat next year aint they?

Seems like as good of a place as any to drop a pic I took of a Koala in Australia in August 2016.

Assuming his play calling isn’t the crap of the last 2 years in Starkville. Their offenses were just plain bad.
He did well at PSU, right? Maybe he's just a better coordinator

all good things come to an end at some point oly…in this case your ducks are going down next fall @ reser.
still not buying it. I think smith will be a good middle tier coach for the beavers get them to some bowls but I dont see them competing for the north.

I’m sure Oregon has had nightmares about Rich Rod at Arizona.
well in his first 3 seasons he was 2-2 against Oregon so yeah cant say they were taking him lightly. but then because of divisional rotation they didnt see him again til his last year.
