Ever attended a bowl game, or conference championship game? And experienced the costs of doing that commitment?

No but I have looked into the costs. That's why I said put the quarterfinal round in the higher teams' home stadiums. Then they wouldn't have to travel.

Been to 7 Husker bowl games including the '95 Championship win over Florida and the devastating '93 loss to Florida State.

Sorry, but I can't hear your story until you actually travel to follow your team.

What the fuck is wrong with you? Congrats for having the opportunity to go to the '95 championship. That would have been cool. I would have loved to get to that game, but I was 5 at the time and was pretty dependent on others for my transportation. I have been to several away games, as many as my college student budget will allow, in addition to the B1G basketball tournament last year. I hope to someday be able to afford to go to some Nebraska bowl games, but I'm no less of a fan because I haven't gotten that chance yet. Get the fuck out of here with your faux superiority.

Wow.

Nice rant.

All that was said is follow your team.

I know whatcha mean man. It's 4 hours from my house to Morgantown and it gets to be a mental drain driving for games on weekends which is basically about a 35 hour vacation. Plus filling up and getting a hotel. Pricey indeed.

Leave at 5, get there at 9, game time at 11, over around 2:30, home by 7:30 or 8 easily. Who needs a hotel? Might not see every game but could do a few easily.

Yeah, I drink a lot. An they sell beer at the stadium. Plus I'm not driving 4 hours to stay less then 24 hours.

No you didn't. You said:

Sorry, but I can't hear your story until you actually travel to follow your team.

That implies that someone who doesn't travel in order to follow their team, isn't as much of a fan as someone who does. As if everyone can easily afford to travel top games.

Yeah, I'm about 6 hours from Eugene. We go to 1 or 2 games a year.

Heck, it can be pricey without the hotel. My son and I try to go to 2 USC games every year. 1 OOC and 1 IC. We're 3 hours from campus, so no real need for a hotel. But still always manages to be always be a fun, but expensive day.

No doubt. I usually go with the wife and both kids. 6 hours away is far enough to need a hotel room. But we have a blast every time.

Yeah, we have our "routine" for USC games. Get their early, walk around campus and check out the tailgating while laughing at my son checking out the women, spend too much money at the bookstore and go to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles after the game.

If we are seeing a game early enough in the season and the times work out right, we'll sometimes go to a Dodgers game after the USC game. Those days get even more expensive.

wasnt the biggest in Oregon history. I consider the Auburn game the biggest since it was the first time Oregon even played for it all

Only because you lost both games. If Oregon would have won this years game no way in hellll you say this. Just be honest.
