Next up for the Sprint Cup Series is Atlanta. Maybe this is the week that Tony Stewart makes a comeback. We can hope.

Tony ain't coming back until he knows he won't have criminal charges IMO. The whole "he's grieving" stuff is total BS. I've seen people lose spouses and be back to work within a week, and certainly nobody I've ever know has lost a relative and then grieve for 3 weeks. He's laying low and waiting for things to blow over.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't race any more this year.

But if he does come back, I'll be starting him on my fantasy team. It seems like often times when a drive has troubles they do well the next race they are in.

I just acquired my tickets today. Bossman drops over a million on new John Deere equipment, and I get a new John Deere hat and 2 tickets to the race the weekend.

Maybe I'll be close enough to hit Jeff Gordon with a can or bottle of Budweiser.

I don't know if Tony's coming back this year either. I certainly agree that he is staying out of sight until this blows over. If he comes back now or anytime soon, the media is going to have a mic in his face and asking questions that he doesn't want to deal with or answer at the track before he climbs into a car to race. I think he waits until next year to come back.

Yep Wild fan, you can bet the media types are going to beat this thing to death and then some. They'll start in with the pre-race and then, heaven help us if Tony should win the race, it'll be non-stop.

This will be the only race of Harvick's career where I won't be pulling for him to win over anybody else. He's still my favorite driver, but I've gotta support Smoke in this one.

Never have liked Stewart as a driver or a person, and my opinion hasn't changed. I wish he would have sat out the rest of the season, but I guess as a business decision that wasn't the best course of action. I understand that; he's still one of the sport's biggest/highest paid stars and he's already sat out a few races.

As always, I'll be pulling for Kahne and then end up wondering WTF happened to him around lap 127.

typical Atlanta race. high speeds, drivers getting spread apart until someone blows a tire. But they do seem to have some good finishes, like Harvick in his second ever race.
