A few positives to take away from the 1st few games... Looks like we finally have a legit ACE again... Ray looked amazing for his 1st start as a Mariner... And Logan Gilbert looks to have improved with a new changeup added to his arsenal... Hopefully the JK and JR can get the bats going today...
No JK today.

Fans (not saying you) see kids like Soto and Wander come up and tear it up and think all top prospects will do the same. Actually more unlikely than likely to happen in the first year. I don't know if Kelenic will ever be the guy. I would deal him for Reynold today if I could. I hope he proves me wrong and just starts enjoying playing the game.

Agreed, just would be nice to see a M's prospect do that for once though.

One positive: It is nice seeing a Mariners catcher hold onto a ball on a play at the plate. Twice no less.

If M's want a good utility guy, they should look at getting Luis Arraez from the Twins. That guy is a pest and has great bat control and plays infield and some outfield. ,314 lifetime hitter in 867 AB's with a 87/88 walk to K rate. Just turned 25 today.
This remains true.

Same old mariners so far. Can’t hit with runners in scoring position and horrible in the run differential category

I know it's super early, but I was hoping to start this season out with a bit more of the offense showing their stuff- disappointed with this starting series. Hope Chicago is a better experience. I agree Ray had a start that I was hoping for, Gonzo was a major let down. :L

News Guys (Winker/Suarez/Frazier) - 44 ABs, 6 Hits, 2 Runs, 2 RBIs, 2 Dbls

Rookies (Raleigh/Kelenic/JRod) - 29 ABs, 3 Hits, 1 Run, 0 RBIs, 1 Dbl

Not the start we hoped for. Not surprised. Still time to pick it up.

I kind of figure the guys are getting to know each other right now and after a few bumps in the road, they will gel together and we'll see what kind of team Jerry has put together for us this season. Hoping Servais finally got a set of "nuts" and manages the team (particular the pitching staff) like he wants to win the division........in spite of the Astro's plans to take it all. :thumb:

I get one right every now and then. Leading hitter in the league.

I posted this on April 9th, 2022. Why didn't the Mariners understand this. He is the poster bat of their style. I guess he doesn't strike out enough.

But where would he fit in the lineup? The DH is for the OF and Cal and the infield is all set lol, I get some credit for being skeptical on Wong.

the only reason I have xfinity is to watch the Seattle Mariners... Honestly, if they didn't have Root Sports, I would not have xfinity... I've researched other ways to stream the M's other than MLB and there isn't any... I'm sure xfinity is paying root sports a pretty penny because Root sports could go solo and sell their services to be streamed via an app for $9.99 a month or something like that...
