I feel for Quinn, nobody was going to do well with that roster. That said, I think he knew what he was getting into

I did think they’d let him tank again next season before bringing in a new coach. I’m assuming they wanted someone better at coaching up young players

Not shocked.

Wonder which team that is ready to tank will hire him as their head coach?

I'm a little surprised because do we think the Sharks are going to be much better next season? Seems to be premature to me and might as well ride out the contract.

True and I think @Slimpikins mentioned it best. Probably want a better coach now for the younger players. As we all know Quinn couldn’t do that.

Just like the Flames and current coach Ryan Huska, I don't think he's a permanent solution, but he's a good coach for this re-tuning phase and when the team is ready to contend, you can then decide if you want to continue with Huska.

Next season no, but maybe the season after and if you're going to start bringing up your young players and signing some key veterans you want the long term coach in place.

I'm not convinced they're two years away from any success but this is generally how good rebuilds have gone.

Blue Jackets need to hire Quinn.
He’s better than what they’ve currently got.

There are only 3 guys who are not better than what we currently have.

Our last three coaches.

We should be striving for "Good to very good" and not "better than the bottom of this barrel"

I think this is the main reason why Pittsburgh is holding onto Sullivan, they're likely looking around the league and realizing that there's nobody out there that's better than the guy we currently have.

Yep if not it would be the recently fired coach from said team NHL coaching carousel rehire, BS.

You guys up North rightfully complaining about Ronnie Mac, but down here we are being treated to PK's stupid takes and Messier's poorly hidden seething hatred of him.

I think there was something about PK not being a carpenter, but he carries a hammer.

Nights like this allow me to appreciate the fine work of the Stars crew - especially Razor. Even when he’s describing the other guys as after the VGK goal…

My wife caught a bit of an intermission with PK and just asked what in the fuck he was wearing, which is something she usually reserves for Kevin Bieksa and his multiple patterns.

I like the guy but he really does seem to try hard. Maybe he just needs to be on a crew more like TNT's that's a little more free because like Puck said Messier is cornmeal on television and the other guy is the most other guy guy ever.
