The Bengals only lost one game in 2011 by more than 1 score.

@ Pittsburgh. Every other loss was under 8 points, and 3 of the losses were by less than 5 points.

I am just very happy we are in the playoffs. I was expecting a rebuilding year. Evene if we didn't deserve to necessarily deserve to make it, we are in. We had a lot going against us, and with a very young, inexperienced team, we made it in, even if it was by the skin of our teeth.

Anything can happen, but there is no one on this board that should be upset or disappointed in this team, as I know there was not one person who predicted the Bengals to make the playoffs, not even Jwiul, who said they would have a winning record (way to go man) but miss the playoffs. We are in the playoffs, for the 3rd time in 7 years, not bad for a team that had not made it once in the previous 14 years.

I felt we got literally screwed in that game yesterday several times, and a couple times really cost us. That next to last play of the game was such a blantent PI I don't even know what to say. Would we have converted the next play? No one knows, but ball being at the 1 yard line with 2 seconds versus the 40 + yard line is a lot more convertable.

Gresham's fumble killed us. We were driving, and we had the bead to go up maybe 20-17. Instead the fumble happens, and then the defense breaks down to the second time on a run during the game.

Marvin Lewis, is very damn frustrating. Kinda wish Marvin would get let go, Zimmer get the HC job, Gruden stay as a OC, and we bring in Stevey Spag's as the DC. I think that would be be our best setup, and if we lose against Houston in the first round, I would not be shocked to see Marvin just go FA. He only signed a 1 year deal, so he is free to sign where ever he wants after this, which means Zimmer is capable of being promoted and no one can touch him at least until we are out of the playoffs.

HC Mike Zimmer
OC Jay Gruden
DC Steve Spagnuolo

Marvin signed a 2 year deal after last season. I'm guessing Mike Brown will quietly extend it after his performance this year.

I was pleasantly surprised by the team's performance this season. It would have been nice to have one 'signature' type of win. If we would have won yesterday, our performance in the playoffs would just be gravy. I would have been satisfied with a 10-6 and knocking the Ravens out of the bye. Given that we didn't and given that we finished 0-7 against playoff teams, my hope is that we can get a victory in Houston. We need some momentum going into next offseason and Andy has to get the monkey off his back and win a big game.

That's three "almost comebacks" against good teams (plus one vs Denver).... agree that Dalton needs to get over the hump here....some big plays in a game winning playoff game drive would be a good start.....

I remember 10-6 predictions, I don't remember anyone saying playoffs with a rookie QB and WR and shortened preseason.

OhioBobcat was predicting a winning season and the playoffs. We kept making fun of his "trend" analysis. Joke's on us I guess.

Well, I guess I don't remember them. Good for a couple people I suppose. I was not one of them, that is for sure. I was thinking 6-10 at best.

I had us at 3 (+ or - 1) and locking down a top 5 pick. I had zero faith in this team. I think the only year I made a prediction and wasn't totally wrong was 2005 when I thought we would go 11-5 and make the playoffs as a wildcard. We went 11-5 and won the division.
I thought we would win 12 games last year, and thought we would at least make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. D'oh!

If I had predicted 9-7 we'd have gone 3-13. You're welcome.

And thank you for predicting a humiliating loss this week too....I figure our chances to win just doubled.....
