Actually he wasn't that bad, I mean dropped balls were every where, he did airmail one that had 4.5 hang time that rookie came down with, ( of course the 3 defenders around the rookie made sure he was the only one to catch it) He did get stripped, but again the OL protection wasn't that good at times...

He looked amazing his rookie season. Shanahan didn't protect him. He's sucked ever since. Sure, Griffin bears responsibility but a veteran coach should know when to sit an injured young QB that looks like he could be something special. Didn't happen and now we'll never know how Griffin's career would have played out if he had been given the appropriate time to recover from his injury.

Shanahan made poor choices agreed.

He also designed an offense simple enough to maximize Griffins strengths and made Robert look brilliant in his rookie year.

That's the part of the narrative that goes by the wayside.

I want Griffin to succeed. I've posted that many, many times. I will forever be thankful to him for a magical 2012 season.

But that play highlights why I doubt it is possible.

Anything that happens against the Browns should be taken with a grain of salt...they are that bad. With that said though, Wentz did look better than I thought he would. Eagles may have finally found the successor to McNabb.

Lot to be excited about if you're an Eaglette. Hasn't seen tons of pressure yet and of course there is tape on him to be analyzed... Which always makes a difference.

I think it will be a race between him and Dak, I think the Cowgirls hit a homerun on that one.
Hell I'm not even writing off Goff, Rams playing smart and "icing him" until he's comfortable in the system.

I pretty much wish for the best for ex-Redskins players (not named Albert Haynesworth) unless they go to a rival. I stated several times on the Redskins board that I wish RG3 the best. However - he definitely showed signs yesterday that he is not really improving. How in the hell does he still take on defenders head on? Inexusable. He also showed other bad habits - holding onto the ball too long, not using the pocket correctly, etc at times.

It is not so much about the results but rather RG3 showing that he understands the fundamentals of the position. Perhaps he will improve over the season, but that is hard to imagine at this pt (& when he gets Gordon back you can't say that he has no weapons). Time will tell.

Dak had a lot of difficulty with intermediate throws yesterday and that was behind a strong Oline. course the Gnats revamped Dline looks legit. Boys should have used Alf more (sob!) he was making solid chunk plays.
