There was a restaurant up in Santa Fe called Dave’s - really good burger place - and Dave had to give it up. I think he was busted for selling drugs or something. And the employees pooled their money and bought it, and kept it running as Dave’s Not Here.

The deadline for FA moves for the week is 6:30 PM EST. Any moves made after that will be reversed UNLESS it is somebody picking up the player who was dropped just before the deadline.

I have that right?

Exactly right. And if claims are blocked between 6:30 and 7:00 and you want to pick up a player dropped after 6:00, post your requested add/drop here.

And how about players dropped earlier today?

Do they count as possible pick ups, or will they be made free agents before the deadline?

Like if someone wanted to add the Bills defense for example.

Waivers are supposed to be turned off after waivers run, so that all available players become free agents, but sometimes the Commissioner doesn't do that in a timely fashion (and it can't be scheduled to happen automatically in Fantrax).

It's been done now, so the Bills are available FCFS.
