I posted some of this in the NHL Ongoing thread, but it needs it's own thread.
Apparently the Pens medical staff felt a mass on his thyroid and ran tests, turns out to be a tumor on thyroid, and the team doctor said there's an 85% chance it's cancerous. He'll have it removed and it's a very treatable form of cancer, 4 weeks recovery post-surgery, no chemo/radiation likely needed. Best case of the worst case, I suppose. Still. I mean, come on.
