It's really close. Their offenses are about the same but Ohio State has the better defense. Where LSU can make a claim though is the fact they beat 2 teams better than any team Ohio State has beaten in Alabama and Georgia.

Gonna be interesting to see who they go with.

The thing that helps Ohio State is that their first 3 opponents, really 4 had much better seasons than expected. That and LSU played at Texas who was ranked in the top 10 when they played but ended up only going 7-5.

They really could go either way here.

I highly doubt that. If recent history is any indication they will jump LSU to number one. That would make zero sense, and Ohio State should be #1, but “SEC and whatnot.”

I’m betting it’s

LSU vs Oklahoma

Ohio State vs Clemson

Da fuck

if OSU is #1 like I implied
It will be #1/4 and 2/3

OSU
LSU
Clemson
OU

Who has the better SOS, Ohio State or LSU?
Guessing real close depending whose SOS. Stat I think might do it for OSU assuming it's right was one they showed end of their game. something like in their 5 wins against top 25 teams they won by an average of 25, while in 4 LSU was 12-13.

With OSU being #1 then winning at UM and beating Wisconsin while LSu won home TAM and vs. UGA would think that would keep OSU on top......but it's close and couldn't kill them if they switched them.

And lucky for committee it's pretty much the only decision they have to make anyone will care about. And even the team who does not "win" in their decision is still no worse than 2.

What it really comes down to IMO is which is more impressive? Winning at Alabama or having one of the best point differentials of all time?

they're unbeaten, defending champs, and tonight looked more impressive than osu. osu fans should want to play clemson if they think their team is that good.
Right, but we probably shouldn't forget who they played tonight...

this is how the committee will look at it...

LSU > Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Texas

OSU > Michigan, Penn St, Wisconsin x2, Cincinnati

and throw aTm in for LSU since the committee loves the aggies.

Where the Buckeyes want to play?

Atlanta or Phoenix?

I don't think the committee will drop them. Its gonna be #4 OU vs #1 OSU

pumped. Bring on the Buckeyes

I would say Atlanta. That would mean they could move the 2 Southern teams out of the South. That's the fairest.

osu should drop from #1. clemson to #2.

problem with this is the playoff committee losing ALL credibility if they do this. This has nothing to do with Clemson playing some great football right now but you cant put that team in front of 1 of those 2 top teams right now simply on the fact, they have played anyone. Not a knock on them, it is what it is, they play in the ACC

yeah throw in an unranked team lol. Margin of victory is considerable different for these two teams with a very similar SOS. They could move LSU to #1 just on the fact they beatdown an overrated UGA team at the end of the season, squeaked out some other wins while Ohio St dominated their entire schedule and played one bad half. They could put them at #1 simply bc....

SEC! SEC! SEC!

it is what it is. You gotta beat the best to be the best and Clemson is playing better than anyone right now

Ohio State fans are terrified of Clemson. I'd much rather OU play Ohio State than LSU after what I saw today.

shit, y'all would be, too. your history with Clemson is no better than ours
