Offical Spring Game thread

Spring game is Saturday 230pm.

Offense will go up against Defense, no divding into 2 teams.

Scoring this year will be like last.

Touchdown: 6 points for Offense, 6 point for defense

Field goal made: 3 points offense
Field goal missed: 3 points defense

3-n-Out: 2 points defense
Turnover: 3 points defense
4th down stop: 3 points defense

Information on broadcast: TBA

I think FS will pick it up, hoping so at least. I'm off that day and don't really feel like driving 3 hours for the spring game though.

Sooner Sports TV will broadcast the OU Spring Game presented by U.S. Fleet Tracking on Saturday, April 13, live on FOX Sports Southwest and FOX College Sports. A full four hours of coverage will begin with a pregame show at noon from the Big Boomer BBQ. Jessica Coody will host alongside special guests Chuck Long, J.D. Runnels and Tony Casillas.

The best spring game I've seen was Texas State.

They let the offensive and defensive captains draft their team, then play. Interesting way to do it. No question by the players who the best are in their eyes. And the coaches get to see how they perform together since they won't all be on the same units in the fall. I'd LOVE to see Texas do this but as long as Mack is coach I don't see anything of consequence happening with our spring practices outside of seeing wasted potential and talent.
