Not sure how it'll work but the potential is quite filthy. I'm not so sure I just wouldn't trot out Dirk at 5, Odom at 4, and Terry and Barea at the guards and just run n gun all game.

I am sure they will but Dirk doesn't exactly play a "mean" center. Even poor centers tend to overpower him and score easily though last year he improved a lot defensively. He guards power forwards well though.

I think Barea is signing with Minny and the Mavs just signed Delonte West who I feel is an underrated player.

haywood-dirk-odom-terry-kidd.......dirk-odom-marion-rudy-kidd will be the main rotations on the court is my guess with west,roddy,brewer,carter,and mahinmi rounding out the extra minutes.....just have to see how rick spreads around everything

Edit: Future draft consideration I see. Seems like Rudy is worth more than draft considerations.

They shipped off both Rudy and Brewer for a future 2nd round pick. Complete salary dump to stay under the luxury tax. Does anyone understand their thought process this season? I don't get it. They'll still have a really nice team because of all the veterans and especially because of Dirk but this team is only going to have a couple of people under contract after the season.

THIS. They are set up right now to have $20million free for the next offseason. They are wanting to make a run at CP3, Deron, or Howard. Doubt we get any of them if Howard goes to the Nets.

Orlando has shut down the Nets trade and says they will keep Howard for the season.


Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that Orlando is ending trade talks involving Dwight Howard.
At least that's the case for now. This could be a ploy for leverage on Orlando's part, or it's possible that the team will wait until closer to the deadline to try to deal Howard. Either way, it looks like talks have been tabled on the Howard front for the moment, making Chris Paul the focal point of trade rumors league-wide.

i think this team has enough to compete this year so hope it goes well ,maybe we get howard at deadline???
