The HR derby messes more with players that have a line drive swing.(Wright and Bobby Abreu) Cruz always seemed to me as having more of an uppercut swing.

Hard to say, but I'll go with slightly over (around 40-45). He was riding a HR/FB rate way above his career norms. His HR/FB rate was 25% in March/April and 31%. It's around 13%, his career average being around 17%.

I'll say slightly over. I think it's contingent on whether the O's get Reimold back, hitting behind Cruz at the 6 spot, and contributing the way O's fans have been waiting for for seemingly years now. If not, pitchers might just elect to start walking him to get to the likes of Hardy, Flaherty, Caleb, etc etc.

15 homers at home isn't too crazy, though, at least not for hugely powerful guy like Cruz.

The park factors stats are interesting for Safeco. Last year, it was dead last out of 30 parks for total runs, but 12th out of 30 when it comes to home runs...slightly ahead of Camden.

I guess the most surprising part of that is how bad the Rangers pitching staff was (and is) that alone didn't cause more home runs in Arlington.
