We're still holding that 4/5 game lead over the rest of the division, if we can keep that intact by hanging tough and playing .500 ball until the all star break it will feel like a success.

I agree. I've been thinking the same thing for the last couple of weeks.

I'm gonna reiterate.....Pete needs to forget about the upcoming HR derby at the AS game in Denver....and instead, focus on hitting them in the games that actually count....like this one, and the 3 in Atlanta that begin tomorrow.

3-0 Washington.
Heading to the 5th.

We are dead last in the league in runs per game. I know we've battled injuries but that's unacceptable.

Pete, Dom, Lindor all need to start raking. McNeil and Conforto I'll give another week.

Mets lose the makeup game 8-4.

Moves...

Mets OF Brandon Nimmo (detached hand ligament) was expected to join the team Tuesday but will remain on his minor-league rehab with Triple-A Syracuse. Nimmo has been out since May 3, and the Mets want Nimmo to get more at-bats. He has not had a setback, manager Luis Rojas said. ... RHP Marcus Stroman was placed on the bereavement list Monday. Sean Reid-Foley was called up from Triple-A.

Up next...

Mets RHP Tyler Megill (0-0, 4.15) will open a three-game series at Atlanta on Tuesday.
Veteran RHP Charlie Morton (7-3, 3.68) is scheduled to start for the Braves.

Well Megill looked good for 4.2 innings than ran out of gas....giving up b2b 2 out singles, then after a mound visit he surrendered a 3 run HR in the 5th....then finally gets the 3rd out.

Mets bats are silent and still unable to get anything going offense wise.

Becoming unwatchable again.

5-0 Braves heading to the 6th.

Geeez...
Can someone please light a fucking fire under these guys sometime soon??
