Does he draft and coach the O-line?

I will say he is lucky he has the Wee One taking snaps. Can't think of too many who could have gotten off that winning TD pass yesterday aside from him.

They might indeed need to make a sacrifice somewhere to keep their defense (Sherman) from going all postal and shit

Zampese didn't draft and coach the O-line either

More like he was pushed on the sword...lol

The fact they sat Lacy so quickly means they are grasping for answers early on OFC...if they hit a 2 game skid it's wouldn't shock me.

Yes they're desperate to solve the OL issues. However the reason that Lacy sat so quickly is a one word answer. Carson. Let's not make problems where none exist.

As for the OP question, that sorta implies that Carroll is a bit on the hot-seat from Paul Allen, thus needing to be the sacrificial lamb.

Allen NEVER says anything publicly, so I suppose anything is possible. My take arguing with the orgasm crew i referred to above, is that Allen is shrewd enough as an owner to make changes at the end of the season if he's going to do that.

I've never been a big Bevell fan, I just want them to do it right if they're going to replace him. Who's available in mid September? Unemployed re-treads?

If you're going to gas Bevell, fine, but have a plan to get either a top notch veteran, or pluck some hot-shot from the college ranks. Allen can afford to pay coaches whatever he wants. But that's going to happen after the college season and/or the NFL season is over.

To answer this question, No!

I believe it was the Fox pre game show that saved Bevall's job since the Hawks front office traded their only good Olineman for Jimmy the great TE and they spend all their money on that defense!

Cable is a better coach than he's given credit for, but look what he has to work with. Last year they gave him a completely inexperienced basketball player to cover Wilson's blind side. This year its retreads and nobodies for an O-line. Wilson is running for is life on every play.

Pathetic.

Wilson's not a pocket passer?
How can he be when there is no fucking pocket to pass from?

It appears that Wilson has to scramble on 2 out of 3 passing attempts and has to constantly improvise.

Heh. I was a Kearse defender, and even I'M not losing sleep over him getting traded away. They were going to cut him for salary cap reasons anyway.

There ARE problems in Seattle, but Kearse and Lacy are not part of them.

Zampese bought the sword, and didn't fall on it, he stabbed himself with it.

That was one of the least creative offenses I've seen, and that's saying something in Cincinnati. Even with the OL issues at hand, the Bengals with any semblance of creativity to get their stars the ball on offense, and they could very easily be 2-0...at worst 1-1.

What really says something is that there were rumblings about his abilities after last season and through the off-season, but no one wanted to make the move. If Mike Brown had simply assured Hue Jackson that he would have been the next head coach after Lewis, he would have signed an extension to stay in Cincinnati. I bet both sides are wishing that had come to fruition, one way or the other.
