Being down 25 to 7 syracuse kept their poise and took over the game. I seethis team as very complete. Nosuperstars, but 8 verygood players. Have great size, very good point guard in innis, 3 point shooter in cooney and
Robably the best player on the team, in c j fair who does it all. It, s going to take a very good effort to beat these guys.

swinging your elbows has always been used to clear space. defenders know this. now it is acceptable to crowd a guy. if the ref doesn't call an immediate foul it leads to a guy getting hit

Until now...thats why the rule was adopted. if a defender has position, probably a good idea to pass the ball or dribble around him. Smashing someone in the mouth with your elbows seems to favor the bigger players.

Watch some old Manny Harris footage of him using his lethal elbows to clear space. Even as a Michigan fan his usage was excessive.

I like the come back from 18 down. SU has only played 3 games the last two weeks, the last one 8 days ago. It showed with the slow start. Nova plays scrappy and will be tuff throughout the year too.

The scary thing about cuse is I still don't think they are a true #2 team yet( no one really is in this up and down year so far) but they have the pieces to really get on a role in March.

I've said it before. If someone like grant can really peak, watch out. You got go to scorer in fair, Ennis the pg, cooney the shooter and a bunch of big guys rotating constantly. If grant becomes a weapon they are lethal. We know the defense and length will always be there.

I've watched cuse many times already and no 1 game really impressed me, yet they are winning. As the year goes on they will get scary I believe.
