Heard a stat that is absolutely crazy. This is the first time ever that they have had 3 losses before October in their 135 history. That is just cray cray.

You have to take stats like that with a grain of salt. It is only fairly recently (compared to the 135 years they have been playing) that they have consistently played more than three games in the month of September. the college football season used to start later than it does now back when teams only played nine or ten games.

To be fair, until the 70's or so, even after then, there usually weren't 3 games in September to lose. That only happened when the schedules expanded from 10 to 12 games.
