Steve Young took his lumps.Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo, Steve Young..I believe sitting two years is the best way to develop a QB, FA just doesn't allow it anymore

I could be wrong but wasn't Young picked up by the Bucs in the supplemental draft. Thought I remembered him going from BYU to the USFL before the NFL.Steve Young didn't sit and wait, he played right away with the Bucs, Tony Romo was an undrafted free agent, not exactly the same thing as a high pick sitting and waiting. In a perfect world I agree not having to rush a guy is without question the best way to go. BUT not for a team like Cleveland... Just my opinion....

He improved learning behind Montana, his stats and record were terrible in Tampa. That's Steve Young though, he would have improved either way. All QBs are different, your argument seems to be Allen will suck no matter what, mine is that he isn't TEFL now, but could be if developedUmmm did he suck or did the Bucs suck? He sat for four years in San Francisco and in those four years made 10 starts, went 7 - 3 and threw 23 TD's against 6 Int's. In his first year away from Tampa he started three games, 10 TD's 0 Int's.

Indy getss
2018 1st rd 6th overall
2018 2nd rd 3th pick
2018 2nd rd 49th pick
2019 2nd rd pick
Jets get Indys 2018 1st rd 3rd pick
Oh shit you have the colts They fleeced the Jets imo. The first rd pick swap wasn't too bad. But those two 2nd this year are huge. There is depth at other key positions. A lot you could do with them. The 2nd next year. Really no idea what the Jets were thinking. Way too much to give up for a QB this year imoYes, fun for me...
May have cost them Barkley but RB is a deep position this year. Betting you can't wait to start this draft for good reason. You have so many options to build with. Only dropping back to 6 and gaining those 2nd rd picksAgreed but it makes our draft much more fun for me. For the real Colts it might have cost them a shot at Barkley, in our draft I doubt he's there at 3.

I think it’s exactly what Cleveland needs. Look what has happened in the past with Cleveland QB’s being rushed into starting. Starting a veteran in Tyrod for 2 years or so and having the rookie develop is what Cleveland needs to do especially since they still have a young team around the QB. Lets the rest of the team develop too, when that QB comes in they will have guys that have been there and done that and have experience.
