Great read, Kinda sad. I love short track racing, and was pissed they moved the race dates. It would be cool if someone did something with it.

I'd love to see someone buy it, fix it up and maybe just run the truck series there since I doubt NASCAR would want the Cup or Xfinity series to run there.

The other track I miss is " The Rock " The short tracks that they got rid of, and replaced with sleeper 1 1/2 and 2 mile tracks.

Unfortunately they quit running there before I started watching NASCAR. Would have loved to have seen some racing there since it seemed like everyone really enjoyed it.

Read it and found it very interesting. I was at the track for the last race and it had an air of sadness after it was all over that day. Celebrations were happening and they even seemed a bit hollow. I passed by it about a year ago, just to see what it looked like and it looked about like it did in the pictures and not much different than it did on the day of the last race, just faded a bit more.

Ironically I'm exact opposite... I stopped watching nascar when they went away with these tracks.

I miss the Rock. North Wilkesboro was before my time, but I've watched a few races on ESPN Classic, great track.

But before they do anything else, give Darlington its second race back.

Between that asshole Bruton Smith and France, you will never see these tracks ran on again... Smith bought tracks just for the purpose of shutting them down to get more races at his other shit 1.5 tracks Darlington and the Rock were bought out by ISC and they have been given less or no races to accomidate their bigger tracks.
Just more of Nascar killing Nascar.
