Nope. Things have changed. They will be a playoff team in a couple years IF they don’t pick Josh Allen lol

Allen is like Stafford if Stafford somehow had less touch and accuracy.

In all seriousness, Allen has an arm that can match Stafford, but Stafford got better every year in college and actually ended with a respectable comp% his last year. Josh Allen was completely stagnant during his time in college and played against far inferior competition.

Looking at it, Stafford took 4-5 years to become a good starter, and had the Calvin Johnson crutch while he got there. Allen has shown he improves slower and already behind where Stafford was and has no CJ to cover some of the gaps. I would not be a fan of that pick. unless you have 6 or 7 years to hide him on the bench while he works on stuff

People say Allen has the most potential and I call bs. Like you said, he hasn’t progressed like Rosen, Darnold and Mayfield has. Yeah he has athleticism and a very strong arm but that can only do so much. I wouldn’t have confidence in him needing to make a big play with his arm in a tight window. I’ll take Mayfield and Darnold over him. I am liking Mayfield more and more. He doesn’t have the arm Allen does but he has great accuracy, very good athleticism, a leader and a great competitor.

The Browns cant wait 6 or 7 years. They need a QB in the next year or 2, most likwly starting next year. Reason why I think Allen is the wrong choice

I think arm strength is one of the most overrated things for a QB. They need a certain level to make all the throws, but after that throwing like Stafford makes a difference maybe once a game. And it is not always a positive difference.

Draft hasn’t even started and you are expecting a Super Bowl for your Browns. Don’t you know the Browns will always stink?

I don't remember the last time there was no indication of who the first pick would be. I actually think there is a decent chance the Browns take Allen. They should take Barkley and Chubb, they could be 8 - 8 this year if they did...

Fully agree. Taking the best offensive and defensive player would really help that team. People forget that they have Tyrod Taylor so their QB need isn’t a must but only a option. I like Taylor and surround him with talent like they already have during the free agency then get Barkley who can run and catch and I don’t see why they couldn’t win 7-9 games.

Exactly, they could take Barkley and Chubb and then use some of their other picks to trade up into the late first round and take a QB at say.....18, if one of the QBs drops.

Man, spent the last 4 days working on a thesis statement for a research page for my English Compesition II, and was just notified that my thesis statement is too factual and not argumentative and that I should look at more current events than history. Man, I hate current events! Now I have to find something else to write about.

Man, this no Cy Young and no MVP seems to have diluted the talent pool - kind've like 2% draft.

I still think my no All Stars (skim) would've made for A LOT of research by everyone!

Well, you are in Washington, a good argument could be how liberalism is destroying America...
