The NFLPA is throwing away more money. They ( NFLPA) needs to smarten up and save money for a war chest come contract time, not spend all their money on hapless lawsuits.

They could very well win this case and be big losers in the court of public opinion here.

Big mistake on their part. You don't have a right to protest in the work place and if you truly want to protest, rather than just grandstand like most of these guys are actually doing, you can still stay in the locker room. It will be noted who is in the locker room so they'll still be protesting things they actually have no clue about and haven't studied.

They need to get ready for the next CBA. NFL careers are way too short, and these guys take too much physical damage for a team to be able to control a player for 5 years coming out of college. They need to be able to hit free agency sooner and that should be their main focus

No camera, no street cred...much respect to a guy like Malcolm Jenkins from me who walks the walk. Most of these players don't seem to even know what they are protesting or why. They get their agenda from their social media feeds and follow it because it allows them to not have to spend their own time or money on an issue that they pretend to care so deeply about. :2cents:

It's like they are trying their best to a make a bigger disconnect between the fans and players.

I'm still trying to understand why the players reelected the ass clown who heads up the PA. All he's ever done was get them more practices in shorts and Tee-Shirts.

I'm not a lawyer but I do understand that the NFL is essentially expanding the reach of conduct detrimental, and opens the door for even more power for the commish, but I could not agree more with your post.

The NFLPA has far bigger fish to fry...pushing back on the new anthem policy is a huge mistake.

IMO...in 2021 the players should be pushing for a much broader guaranteed salary structure that all the other major team sports have. Spending money fighting this should be in the coffers building up to support the rank n file players when they are locked out.

Good point. The league throws them crumbs that doesn't cost them anything. Better hotels, more days off, more "optional" events.

IMO...The ones that have set for life money don't really give a shit about those that don't. Even if they did there are so few of them their voice apparently doesn't carry much weight.

The players have long been represented by "NFL" guys, whereas MLB players went out and hired real negotiators...tell me what you want, what you are willing to give up and be prepared to sit out to get it and I'll deliver.

Bad move by the NFLPA. Sure they have a point, but this isn't likely going to go very far and it will cost them a lot.

Oh you didn’t know? When it comes to the players, people want them to keep politics out of sports and just shut up and play.

It’s ok for everybody else they say.

I think the players can protest like everyone else, just not at work and on their own time.

agreed with most sentiments here. They may end up winning in court or in the next CBA with this matter but they are distancing more and more of their fans over and over again. Not smart.

The NFL's TV ratings are down almost 20% over the past couple of seasons. Overall, though, they're still pulling in huge numbers so it may take several years of huge declines before the players' pocketbooks are actually effected and they finally realize what's going on.

Has he done that "on game day". I don't know the answer, but that is what he made a point of saying. He didn't say stay out of Politics, just on game day from what I read (yes, headline only because I don't care)

I don’t even know who you are talking about. I’m talking about in general. Certain type of people don’t want the players bringing politics in sports period, rather it’s on game, an interview, or on social media.

Exactly. They want to go protests lome the whiny women’s march brats on a random Tuesday, have at it.

Sunday’s are not your time. It’s company time.

I guess I'm that certain type of person cause I don't want to hear or see it on Sundays. If I did I would watch Face the Nation or some other talking heads show instead of the game...
