It's not idiocy...it's called "play better defense". Game is on the line...man up. The time for excuses is over by the time OT becomes a factor when you had a 25 point lead with a quarter left to play.

The point of overtime is essentially starting a brand new game with the score 0-0. What happened the previous 3-4 hours should be absolutely irrelivent.

Championships are won on both sides of the ball. ATL's defense failed them, plain & simple.

But on a side note, I'd be open to for the change. Would be fun to see the other team at least get a shot to match the score.

When the game is tied..hence the reason overtime is happening, the game is 0-0.

I'm curious why people are so against a "5th quarter". Why the hell not? Go to sudden death after that.

The Super bowl should be a two day affair. One game at the field of one opponent, the second at the other opponents field. Add the two scores together and BOOM

Why not make the game 120 Minutes, that way if they go into Overtime no one will care what the rules are...

In hockey, offense and defense are basically played by the same unit. That's not the case in football.
