Couple of things.

1. Don't buy souped up Trucks and leave them around unattended

2. Don't be out at bars at 3:30 AM

Lot to be said right there...
Should be in every contract. Cannot be in public places such as Bars, Lounges, Casinos or any establishment that serves liquor, wine or beer to the public after 1:00 AM. Break this rule and it's an automatic 3 game suspension and three game paycheck forfeiture to the NFLPA Retirement Fund.
Break it twice and get the same penalty for a year. Do it three times and you're done playing in the NFL.

Good God no Ken.
Signining a player dosen't mean you control them and can anyone believe that they could get that by the union?

Huh? That's crazy talk dude. WTH are you even talking about?

While it's certainly not advisable to do those things during the NFL season, last I checked this was a free country and if you show up and meet the expectations of your job your private activities have nothing to do with anything.

Don't assume everybody is a shithead just because one person is.

Ray Lewis.
Ben Rothlisberger.
Alvin Kamara.
Chris Lammons.

It's not one person, one time. It's a trend when these guys go out and start drinking at shitholes or high end night clubs.

I'm talking during the season. When you're not being paid by a team, your life is yours. When your contract is in force, your ass is their's.

Not sure your ass is their's?

Regardless, I think contracts should stipulate something like if you do anything that is deemed detrimental to the image of the team/NFL... you can be fined, suspened and or terminated. The NFL is a multi-billion $ business. Their image is everything. People get fired for a lot less in the real world.

4 out of how many players since 2001? Sure there are lots of other incidents but still.... Should they create an NFL bubble and have them all in it for their careers?

That stipulation is in the standard NFLPA contract. Going out somewhere and getting drunk isn't a problem. Until a player does something stupid and it makes the media waves. But bitchin' about having a $100K fully dressed pickup stolen or vandalized at 3:00 AM in any large city doesn't exactly shine a positive light on anyone.

What the articles never say is that the player had been in the bar for XX hours and would have been DUI. What kind of defense would that same player have if hit a kid at 3:15 AM who was up at that hour delivering his morning paper route?

A pancake is not fully cooked until it's flipped.

I thought I acknowledged that many other incidents have occurred, but not compared to all players.

I'm not sure it's worded strictly enough, nor that it's enforced.

These players make millions. The team and the NFL should have the power discipline them for being stupid.

They do. It's called termination.

OK, I'll play along. So how often has that happened?

I'm not so concerned about the felonies. The local law enforcement and the league seem to deal with those pretty well.

It's all the stupid misdomeanor things players do. Most the time the local officials hand out the slap on the wrist.

I just feel that the team should penalize them as well. Hit them in the pocketbook.

That's just my opinion. It may stop a few of the knuckleheads from doing it?

This doesn't even address those that get away with whatever because they play for the local team.

If being stupid were illegal, we'd all be in jail!

It's their right to sign or not sign a contract to make millions. Should be a multi million/billion organization to discipline them within the wording of said contract.

If your an owner of any company, do you want someone you paid big money to tarnishing your good image?

Been watching a bunch of old Superbowl games. on the NFL Network this weekend.

Talk about frustration. No team has ever lost as many playoff games as the Buffalo Bills. There are people that seriously believe that 2023 will be their year to win the Super Bowl. Sorry folks, I think that their window is just about closed. AS Patriots fans, we certainly shouldn't be bitchin' about our teams over the past 22 years.

Did you know??

Between 1988 and 1995 3except for 1992 (2nd) and 1994 (4th) the Buffalo Bills finished first in the AFCE

1988 - Lost Conference Championship
1989 - Lost Divisional Playoff Game
1990 - Lost Super Bowl
1991 - Lost Super Bowl
1992 - Lost Super Bowl
1993 - Lost Super Bowl
1994 - Didn't make playoffs
1995 - Lost Divisional Playoff Game

They were out of the playoffs until 2017

2017 - (3rd) Lost Wildcard Playoff Game
2018 - Didn't make playoffs
2019 - (2nd) Lost Wildcard Playoff Game
2020 - (1st) Lost Conference Championship
2021 - (1st) - Lost Divisional Wildcard Game
2022 - (1st) - Lost Divisional Wildcard Playoff Game
