Texans placed RT Tytus Howard, C Justin Britt, DE Jordan Jenkins, DL Roy Lopez, S Eric Murray, and CB Lonnie Johnson on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
That makes 21 total Texans on the list. If Houston's game against the Chargers isn't postponed or moved, Houston will be using defensive linemen that were literally signed off the street this week. It's grim that we have to say this, but whether it's Austin Ekeler, Justin Jackson, or Larry Rountree, someone appears likely to feast on the Texans front seven this week.
Saints placed S Malcolm Jenkins, DB Jeff Health, OL James Carpenter, LB Kaden Elliss, DE Jalyn Holmes, OT Jordan Mills, and DT Christian Ringo on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
It turned out the quarterbacks weren't the only Saints being added to the COVID-19 list today. Only Jenkins is a primary player for New Orleans this year, but where there's this much COVID-19, it's likely that we'll see more additions in the days to come. The Saints only held an estimated practice today in advance of their Monday night game against the Dolphins.
The Bills took a few more hits today. Their #3 and #4 WRs tested positive and are unvaccinated. They lost two interior linemen, so the starting Guards on Sunday will be #4 and #5 on the depth chart. (#2 is starting at RT)
Ravens placed QB Tyler Huntley on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
It leaves Josh Johnson in line to start with Lamar Jackson (questionable, ankle) potentially active as the No. 2 quarterback. 35-year-old Johnson hasn't started since 2018 but had a three touchdown game in relief of Mike White for the Jets earlier this season. The downgrade from Huntley to Johnson is a massive hit to the Ravens' chances of winning the AFC North.
