Seriously, if I was a member of Stabler's family, I'd be pissed off at the voters. After waiting forever, voting the guy in directly after he dies just feels wrong.

I don't feel strongly one way or another about Stabler and whether he deserves to be in the Hall or not, but I agree. That vote to put him in Canton right after his death is disgusting. That just comes across as a sympathy vote or they had some vendetta against him and vowed not to write his name down while he was alive or something. I know former SI writer Paul Zimmerman had a major beef with him.
