Although it isn't clear when exactly Mason suffered the injury, it looks like it could have happened when Penguins forward Jayson Megna checked Flyers defenseman Andrew MacDonald into Mason towards the end of the second period.

Mason's neck snapped back after the hit.

Ummmm, that's not good, any Flyer fans have more info on this?
