Colon was great in keeping the braves hitters off balance for the most part, allowing just 6 hits, striking out 5 and walking none in his 7 innings for his 1st mets' win.....btw: no walks were issued by the 3 mets' pitchers in this one....don't know the last time that's happened....lol

Next up: Zack Wheeler vs. Ervin Santana in game 2 on wed. night.

Solid night. Bullpen, well Papa Grande gave us a scare. Glad they were able to pick two scoreless innings.

Bartolo looked real solid, hopefully that holds up. The Braves old school unis look fantastic, they should wear those all the time.

1) The Mets has tossed 12 straight scoreless innings dating back to Sunday.
2) Zack Wheeler is 3-0 with a 2.89 ERA in three starts against the Braves in his career.
3) Juan Lagares has a hit in six of seven games this season, during which he’s batting .333 with a .393 OBP.

David Wright was among a group of Mets taking an extra, early batting practice session Wednesday afternoon at Turner Field. Wright is hitless in his last 12 at-bats and batting .192 this season.

The Mets are hitting .192 overall, which is second worst in franchise history through seven games, according to ESPN's Mark Simon. They hit .171 in 1963.

Ervin Santana is making his Braves debut.
