Can we redo are banner? I know a guy (Doobee) that has created some awesome banners. He created my Mock Draft and Redskins banner. I feel with all the tradition we have at Penn State that we can create a amazing banner instead of the plain one we currently have.

I would like Beaver Stadium in the background. Have Paterno, 2 trophies, maybe a few past players, and other PSU items/icons on it.

    Thoughts?

I could agree to that. For all the passion our fan base has the banner is MEH

    Have to have Lavar
How about the INT vs. Miami

Also how about we maintain it to have current players for every year. So have Hack and Amos(any D player).

Next year we could have a different O and D player. Unless of course Hack wants to go all Andrew Luck just for us :D. A kid can dream right??

I am thinking of past players so we don't have to redo it every year. Guys like:

    Jack Ham

    Franco Harris

    Mike Munchak

    Curt Warner

    John Cappelletti

    Shane Conlan

    LaVar Arrington

    Bobby Engram

Also have 3D PSU Logo and Nittany Lion statue with whiteout at night stadium in back ground. We can have our 2 trophies and the years we went undefeated or memorable years at bottom of banner.

I like that too. Have to see what the big boss (LBU) says haha.

Side-note but B&W cannot come soon enough. Been dying for some Kildares

Fine by me. If you want a play as opposed to the Miami Int, the garrity catch that got the first National Championship would be my vote.

You'd have more than 2 trpphies for undefeated years, 1 of the National Championships, 82, was a 1 loss team. Alabama killed us. So many great players to pick from, Ham, Warner, Blackledge, Kenny Jackson, Conlan, Poz, Lavar, Engram, Kijana, Blair Thomas, Munchak, Hartings, Courtney Brown, on and on it goes.....I'd go with one from each O and D decade....70's on. Hack would be the guy for this decade of course

70's Lydell, Cappy , Millen, Ham
80's Warner, Blackledge, Kenny Jackson, Conlan,
90's kijana, Engram, Lavar, Courtney Brown
    2k - Poz, Tamba, MRob
    2k10 Mauti/Hack

Everyone please give me your Top 5 players of all-time you would like to see on the banner. It will be probably 5 player and Paterno plus what ever else we would like on it. Cant add to much or it will looked cramped.

    My personal top 5 favorites
    Lavar
    Conlan
    Curt Warner
    KiJana
Mauti (he literally saved the program)

I like/love all of them but I have a hard time leaving out our only Heisman winner.

    My Top 5.
    1. Lavar (got his Redskin jersey)
    2. Cappelletti
    3. Franco (got his Steeler jersey)
    4. Poz (got his Bills jersey)
    5. Ham or Conlan
(I am the only one in the world with a Browns Courtney Brown jersey)

I also like Mauti because I don't think our program would be a top 10 in recruiting if it wasn't for him. The team for the most part staid because of him.

I like Franco, but he wasn't even the man when he was at PSU, Lydell Micthell was. Hard to consider him anywhere near a top 5 for me unless you are basing it on his pro career

Cappy is cool, but I would put Mauti or MRob for this century to be represented at least. MRob turned it around after 4 of 5 losing seasons and Mauti saved this program from sinking....literally. Ham/Conlan....can't go wrong either way, but Conlan probably had the more memorable PSU career.

If we are going on their PSU careers, I would leave Franco out for certain and add one of 2 from this century or swap him for Curt Warner/kijana...both of whom had better PSU careers.

Also wouldn't hurt to have James Mutha F-in Franklin in the mix since he's taking us to our next National Championship

    Ham - started Linebacker U
Poz - 2 time Bednarik winner
    Cappy - Only Heisman.
Mike Reid - Maxwell and Outland winner.
About a 20 way tie for 5th but need someone from the pre-Paterno era so will go with Richie Lucas.

Ranking the lists below. It looks like our 5 top players are.

    1. LaVar Arrington
    2. Jack Ham
    3. Michael Mauti
    4. John Cappelletti
    5. Ki-Jana Carter

I would like to add a QB and a WR to this mix. So what about Todd Blackledge and what WR to represent Penn State?

What QB, Collins or Blackledge? Doobee can create our banner in 3 weeks. He is working on 2 other banners right now. That gives us 3 weeks to pick out the pictures we want.

We will have 8 people on the banner and I am worried that will look to crowded and the pictures will be small. The banner for Redskins has 7 people and let me know what you think of it and what we should do with ours please.

I still feel like you have to have some representation from the Pre-Paterno era.
