That's the most frustrating thing about the line. They are not bad players. But they play like they have no heart on half the plays, and like they have no clue on the other half.
There was one running play in the 3rd Q where Wilbon was tackled in the backfield for a loss and I swear every single d lineman was in on the stop. Every. Single. One.
How did every lineman whiff on their blocks on the same damn play?

It's hard not to be cynical after that one. Optimistically, I feel like it was necessary to reveal the flawed underbelly of Riley's coaching staff. Had we barely eeked by NIU after managing to pull within 7 of Oregon, I feel like people would still be looking at Riley with rose-colored glasses. Now people are waking up to the reality that he's not going to get us where we need to be, and today's game was the wake-up call.
